Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information CarMagics collects when you use carmagics.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Who we are

Information we collect

We do not sell your information. Only if you allow ad measurement, the Meta pixel measures our own Facebook and Instagram ads on our public pages (see Cookies below).
How we use information
- Provide the service: photo enhancement, videos, window stickers, downloads and your library.
- Process payments and apply your packages.
- Secure accounts, prevent abuse and troubleshoot.
- Send service messages (for example sign-in codes and receipts). We will only send marketing emails if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Improve the service using aggregated, non-identifying usage information.
We do not use your photos or videos to train third-party machine-learning models.
Service providers we share with
We share information only with providers that help us run CarMagics, and only what they need:
- Stripe — payment processing for package purchases.
- Vehicle data providers — to look up factory details for the VIN you enter (they receive the VIN only).
- Cloud rendering providers — to render paid fast-lane videos (they receive the vehicle photos and scene image for that video; files are set to expire after one day).
- Cloudflare — hosting network, security and cookie-free visit statistics (page views, no personal profile).
- Email delivery — Google (Gmail) or Resend sends sign-in codes and service messages (your email address and the message).
- Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google”: Google confirms your name and email address to us.
- Sentry — error monitoring (technical error details such as the page and browser type; never your photos or payment details).
- Meta Platforms — only if you allow ad measurement in our cookie notice: page views on our public pages and a completed sign-up when you create an account, with the page address, browser and device details, IP address and Meta cookies. Meta may connect this to a Facebook or Instagram account you are signed in to. Never your email, phone, name, account, car, photo, listing, price or payment details.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a business transfer, with notice where required.
Retention
We keep your account, uploads and generated content while your account is active so you can access your library. You can delete individual photos in the studio or ask us to delete your account and content at any time. Purchase records may be kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correction and deletion: email [email protected] and we will respond within 45 days.
- California residents: you have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. If you allow ad measurement, the Meta pixel on our public pages may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; it stays off unless you opt in, you can turn it off any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- Other US states and other countries: where local law gives you similar rights, contact us and we will honor them.
Cookies
By default we use only strictly necessary cookies: one keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one protects the "Continue with Google" sign-in (removed after 10 minutes). If you allow "Visit statistics" in our cookie notice, Google Analytics also sets cookies to count visits and see which pages help; we turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and we honor Global Privacy Control. If you allow ad measurement, a separate choice, the Meta pixel sets cookies on our public pages and on a blank sign-up confirmation page (never on sign-in or account pages) to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads; we send Meta no email, account, car or payment details and turned off its automatic matching. Change or withdraw either choice with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. See our Cookie Policy.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), store only hashed sign-in codes and session tokens, restrict access to your content to your account and to the CarMagics staff who support the service, and limit what providers receive. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
CarMagics is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and notify account holders of material changes.
